and life repair - help ourselves to look at and appreciate our
successes in our lives, the mistakes and the wisdom we have gained through
our years of life experience. Work to continue to heal
relationships, practice letting go of grudges and do our
"forgiveness" work.
Synthesize wisdom from
long life experience - take the time to see the big picture,
acknowledge all we have learned, enjoy our achievements and be grateful.
We have lived through cycles of change never before experienced in human
history. We have learned to live through the changes and grow from
them.
Transmit a legacy to future
generations - share what we've learned in the "school of
life". Everyone wants to feel we have contributed to the global
consciousness.
Nourish ourselves emotionally,
physically, mentally and spiritually - find the place of emotional
balance within ourselves. Learn and practice forgiveness and gratitude.
Work at keeping our body active, at whatever level that means for us. Keep
ourselves "sharp" mentally through reading, discussing, learning,
creating. Take the time to develop our contemplative skills; writing for
ourselves and others, meditating, and finding spiritual intimacy.
Deal with life completion -
have the willingness to overcome the denial of aging; ending cycles with
unfinished things in our lives; having important papers and desires organized.
