Seniors and their adult children,
retirees and those thinking of retiring, family, friends and neighbors who are
active in programs for older adults at faith communities and community
"seniors" programs love this positive view of growing older. It
helps people regain the honored role of Elder in our society.
We have presented workshops
around the country, to people with less than 20 years of life experience to many
with more than 80 or even 90 years of life experience. The groups have
many things in common.
Participants seem to have a
desire to ensure their life has meaning and they are not forgotten. They
share a love for life and a devotion to creating a better world. They wish
to restore the older adult to a place of respect and importance as
"Elder," something that has been lost in our modern society.
