MCCR Problem-Solving Model

A step-by-step approach to resolving issues, large or small.
The ideas, strategies and skills are designed to save time, relationships, and reduce stress.
Over the past twenty-three years we've had a great deal of experience with conflicts and other workplace issues in businesses and organizations.  I believe we can assist your group to settle this dispute and improve workplace, family, community, or organization attitudes and atmosphere so future issues will not become so polarized.  Let me take a minute to explain the mediation process we use.
We often work as a team.  This offers participants a more balanced setting in which to resolve issues.  The neutral mediators facilitate a process that helps people hear and understand the issues from the other person's point of view.  Not to necessarily agree with that point of view, but understand how the other person sees and feels about the situation.  The mediators advocate for the mediation-problem solving process and help people create solutions for them.
Once the issues are understood, we help people see them as a common problem to be jointly resolved.  There is a common problem, although it might not be obvious; if it were, there probably wouldn't be a need for a mediator.  Next we help all sides look at a variety of options that meet their needs.  We then choose solutions and work towards an agreement that satisfies each person or group.
Often conflicts develop and ex0pand because people need to listen and understand the other person.  Many times this is difficult without the assistance of a neutral party that can help create  a safe and respectful setting where differences can be resolved.  That's our role.
